Situated on gradually sloping meadows overlooking Tor and Oxwich Bay, the site offers direct access to these beautiful sandy beaches. There are also many excellent walks through surrounding woodland, Cefn Bryn Hill, and adjacent Gower Coastal path.

Our Experience:

Friendly staff, good welcome and very straight forward in setting up our pitch. Drinking water available at numerous locations. Entrance to Farm / Campsite is approx 150 metres from\ South Gower Road. There are three fields available camping with one designated mainly for tourers, campervans and Motorhomes, but these also included tents and trailer tents. Sites are allocated on arrival. (you get to choose your pitch from what is available)

What are described as Local Attractions

The excellent beaches are ideal for surfing, along with mountain biking, horse riding and hand / para-gliding from Rhossili Down. Oxwich Bay, the Great Tor and Three Cliffs bay are indeed spectacular and generally unspoilt. Although popular, They never seem crowded except for the area immediately next to Oxwich car park, but all you need do is walk a few hundred yards and you will be on your own.

The Nicholaston Farm Car Park is elevated above the beach and therefore you will have to walk down to the beach and back up to the campsite. This is not flat and the best access path is stepped. This is generally good going down but a challenge returning. The path from the bottom of the Caravan field runs adjacent to to campsite and then joins the main path to the beach, when we stayed this link path was eroded, and difficult in places. On a similar note, taking this link path in the opposite direct will eventually bring you to The Great Tor, This path was also challenging in places, this was not helped by cut grass being left on the path that had dried out and become slippery under foot.

The best way to the beach is walk out of the main entrance and follow the road for about 25 metres, turning left and heading down the stepped path. This path is opposite the Third camping fields. It takes about 10mins to get to the beach and then about 20 minutes to return.
